CARTHAGE, Jan. 28, 2010 - Participants in the Arab Forum on the theme: "Security of E-exchanges and Public Key Infrastructure", commended efforts made by President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali to promote Arab policies to develop information and communication technologies (ICTs).
They also express satisfaction at his key role in co-ordinating Arab and international efforts to make the most of potentials available to bolster the development process in the Arab region.
In a message sent to the Head of State, participants hail the President of the Republic's avant-garde choices and his noteworthy efforts to establish the knowledge society, spread digital culture, generalise the advantages offered by ICTs and guarantee security of e-exchanges.

They highlight the remarkable change experienced by Tunisia in this area, which has earned it a prime position in the globalised communication.
Signees of the message underline the ambitious development goals contained in the presidential programme: "Together, We Meet Challenges," which pave the way for the Arab world to keep pace with changes of the age by relying on attributes of progress and success.
They reiterate the attachment of the Arab Communication and Information Technologies Organisation to the relevant recommendations made by President Ben Ali and its commitment to endeavour to develop ICTs in the Arab world.
